In September 2008, LUXURY FASHION FINE JEWELLERY BRAND – FSAugusta launched at IJL London, by Design-Duo Zinzi Coetzee and Ursula Horton. Since then the FSA Brand has fast become a force to be reckoned with in the Jewellery World. Propelling a formidable, unforgettable, instantly wearable, confident, cheeky and indulgent approach to jewellery design, that is on a journey set to achieve international stardom.

DESIGN-DUO
Zinzi and Ursula, originally studied Fashion and Design at Central Saint Martins (2001 – 2005). It is their savvy, outlandish fashion perspective that injects a cheeky delicious indulgence into their jewellery. With different yet colliding tastes, the Design-duo have created an exciting and dichotic brand personality that is a reflection of their combined individual styles, tastes and visions. Zinzi is half South African, half English, whilst Ursula is half Chinese, half English. The Designers describe the personality of their Brand as ‘schizophrenic with a classical undercurrent.’ Striving to break the boundaries between disposable Costume Jewellery and traditional Fine Jewellery, beautifully bold mixing traditional hand craftsmanship with modern technologies, the FSA Brand offers pieces that are perfect and unique.

 

What excites you most about the FSAugusta Brand?
“I love how Zinzi and I can translate our ideas and inspirations into jewellery that is a wonderful mix of originality and luxury. What has been your proudest moment yet since the launch of FSAugusta in September 2008?
“I think the proudest moment has to be when we became an International Brand as that had always been what both of us wanted for the brand, and to have taken that from a dream to reality was very exciting, although I am focused on world domination, we have made a good start!!” ZINZI

INFAMOUS SEASON
FSAugusta’s INFAMOUS SEASON launched in 2008-2009 takes an eclectic inspiration from Chinese Golden Pigs, melting misshapen surrealism that is Salvador Dali and the outlandishness of ‘Chaviness’ and ‘Bling’ culture. Presented in a Sunkist California colour palette of 18crt red and yellow gold and 925 silver, splashed with a hue of red, yellow, brown and white precious stones such including Citrines, Mexican fire opals, Garnets and Sapphires, offset with a sprinkling of black and yellow Diamonds. The INFAMOUS SEASON gave rise to the iconic Pig Rings, the Beguiling Dali Bangles and the eye-catching Dali Facet Studs that have been featured in the magazine and online editorials of Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, Nylon and Grazia to name but a few and worn by Hollywood Star, Zoë Saldana of Avatar, Rock Chick Kelly Osborne and Jewellery Magpie and DJ Presenter Fearne Cotton in the UK.

GLITZ SEASON
FSAugusta’s GLITZ SEASON released in 2009-2010 takes inspiration from a selection of glamorous icons that include Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, and hot lady right now Lady Ga Ga, provoking a mood of alluring ritzy glitz. In a glittering colour pallet of 18crt Yellow and White Gold and icy silvers, set with sparkling pink Sapphires, opulent Amethysts, warm raspberry Rhodolites, zealous greens and sky blue precious stones and gemstones. The GLITZ SEASON draws on the shiny playful wit of artist Jeff Koons seeing the release of FSA’s fabulous JK Cocktail Rings and the flashiness of the Wynn Hotel, prompting the release of FSA’s swanky Wynn Loop necklaces, rings and earrings. Playing with the pizazz of scale, there are two lizards in the Collection; a bold hatching Kimodo Dragon, and a tiny Thorny Devil lizard both of which have been exquisitely handcrafted, already featuring in You Magazine, Retail Jeweller and the Telegraph.

jewellery is made to be perfect and unique. Mixing modern technology with traditional hand craftsmanship each piece boasts quality and individuality that is the nature of the designs and the manufacturing process.  The Fashion Jewellery is made with 3 and 5 microns of 18crt yellow gold plate.  The 18crt red gold plate colour is achieved by a coating that contains a small content of copper. Typically red plate is less hardwaring than yellow.   Ensure the quality and care of plated jewellery by avoiding abrasive contact or chemicals. FSA offers a re-plate and re-polish service for its Fashion Jewellery, contact the Brand for a quotation.
